Why it exists

The documents exist. Finding all of them doesn't.

Every company accumulates a paper trail, articles, EIN letter, operating agreement, annual reports, tax returns, signed contracts, board consents. Individually they're easy. The problem is that they live everywhere: one founder's email, a shared drive, an accountant's folder, a physical file. No one place has all of it, and no one is sure it's the current version.

That's fine until the moment it isn't. Diligence for a raise or a sale, a bank's document request, an audit, or a lawsuit all need the complete, organized set, fast. Assembling it by hand under a deadline is where days disappear and where a missing consent or an outdated agreement becomes a real problem.

The Document Vault is the single system of record. It fills itself from everything the platform does, filings, scanned mail, signed contracts, keeps each document categorized and searchable, controls who can see what, and exports a complete diligence pack in one click. The set is always there, always current, always ready.

How it works

It fills itself, then makes everything findable.

You don't build the vault, the platform does, as a byproduct of the work it already handles for you.

FAQ

Document Vault, answered.

What goes into the vault?
Everything your entity generates: state filings, IRS documents like your EIN letter, registered-agent and service-of-process records, filed receipts, your operating agreement and consents, and tax, contract, and IP documents. Anything we file for you, such as an annual report, is stored automatically, so the record builds itself as the company operates.
Do I have to upload everything myself?
No. The vault fills itself as we work. On the Compliance Subscription, every filing and confirmation lands in the right category on its own, and you can add your own documents too. The default state is "already organized," not "an empty folder waiting for you."
What is the export pack?
It's the one-click diligence pack you saw above. When a lender or buyer asks for a full document set, you assemble and share a complete, organized package in a single click instead of collecting files from a dozen places under a deadline. That's usually the difference between a smooth diligence process and a stalled one.
Can I get official copies from it?
The vault holds your own copies, which cover most day-to-day needs. When you need a state-certified version, for a bank, a lender, or a foreign registration, you can order certified copies or a fresh certificate of good standing directly, and the certified file lands back in the vault next to the originals.
Can my team access the vault?
Yes, with role-based access through Team Accounts. You decide who can view or download which documents, so your accountant sees financials, your attorney sees contracts, and sensitive records stay limited to the people who should see them. Every action is tied to a named user rather than a shared login.
How quickly can I find a specific document?
Fast, everything is auto-categorized by type and entity and is searchable, so finding your EIN letter or a specific year's annual report is a search, not a folder hunt. Because filings we handle land in the right category on their own, the vault stays organized without you maintaining it.
How does the vault connect to the rest of the OS?
It's the shared record layer for everything else: filings from your Compliance Subscription, official mail scanned from your Unified Email Box, signed contracts from E-Signature, and books and tax documents all land here automatically. Instead of a separate storage app you have to remember to update, the vault fills itself as you use the platform.
