Common questions.
Is a bundle a subscription?
No. A bundle is a one-time purchase covering formation and setup. Domestic Complete and International Founder include one year of the Pro subscription, and International Holding includes Enterprise, so those renew at the standard rate after year one unless you cancel. Domestic Starter includes the free BOS dashboard with no recurring charge. State filing fees are billed separately at cost.
What is the difference between Domestic Starter and Domestic Complete?
Starter ($199) covers the essentials: LLC or Corporation formation in one state, your EIN from the IRS, one year of Registered Agent service, the free BOS dashboard, and filing receipts in your vault. Complete ($499) adds the governance and tax layer: Operating Agreement or Bylaws, S-Corp election (Form 2553) if you want it, annual report autofile for year one, cap table tools for corporations, and a full year of Pro. Pick Complete if you have partners, plan to take a salary, or want the first annual report handled for you.
I am a non-US founder. Which bundle should I pick?
International Founder ($1,499). It includes everything in Domestic Complete, plus the pieces a founder abroad cannot easily get alone: an EIN without an SSN through the Form SS-4 fax route, a CAA-assisted ITIN application (Form W-7), a US virtual mailbox with scanning, a US bank account introduction, and Form 5472 plus 1120 setup for a single-member LLC. Move up to International Holding only if you need a parent and subsidiary structure across jurisdictions.
What state fees should I expect?
State fees are set by each state and passed through at cost, never marked up. LLC formation runs about $90 in Delaware, $70 in California, $300 in Texas, and $125 in Florida, and a handful of states charge nothing for certain filings. Annual report fees are separate and also vary by state. You see the exact state fee for your state in the quote before your card is charged, so the number you approve is the number you pay. Check your state on the pricing page.
What is International Holding for?
Multi-jurisdiction structures where a parent entity owns one or more subsidiaries. Two common shapes: a Cayman parent owning a Delaware C-Corp, and a Singapore Pte Ltd parent owning a Delaware LLC. It covers the full International Founder scope plus the parent and subsidiary setup, coordination between US and home-country tax counsel, treaty and transfer pricing review, a dedicated specialist with an escalation path, and an Enterprise subscription. Pricing is quoted per structure, so it starts with a scoping call.
Does International Founder cover taxes?
It covers the setup, not ongoing filing. We form the entity, file the formation paperwork, and configure your Form 5472 and 1120 obligations for a single-member LLC so nothing is missed in year one. The filings themselves run through the Pro subscription included with the bundle, and continue under Pro or Enterprise after that. Foreign-owned US entities carry a $25,000 penalty for a missed 5472, so the deadline sits on your compliance calendar from day one.
What about LLC vs C-Corp vs S-Corp?
We help you choose during onboarding, and the bundle works either way. Most non-US founders start with a single-member LLC for its simpler filing profile. Founders planning to raise from VCs pick a Delaware C-Corp, since investors expect that structure for priced rounds and option grants. Most US small businesses run an LLC and add an S-Corp election once profit makes the payroll tax saving worthwhile. See LLC vs Corporation for the full comparison.
